When propositioned to design a Hawaiian shirt featuring a mash of luchadores in a tiki scene I stopped waxing my surfboard and got to work. These shirts ended up being one of the best selling patterns and once popularity picked up, the pattern was later used in other garb. I've done many patterns for fabrics in the past and it is a delicate art making an image repeat while maintaining visual balance throughout.
