In 2016, Betabrand hosted the second Silicon Valley Fashion Week with an incredible turnout featuring the merger of tech and fashion. Needless to say, it was a weird and magical two-night event cohosted with Zappos. I was put to the task of designing the entire visual branding for the event. This started with the logo where we leaned towards high fashion humanoids. I composited several humanoids, placed them into promotional material with type, and then formatted that material to various mobile and desktop ad platforms. There were some "dead" areas in the space where perhaps an unsightly vent stuck out and we used projector screens with a video loop I made of employees' faces slowly turning into androids to cover them up.
